These auctions are usually listed by newbies who don’t calculate their auction to end at a more prime time, such as between 6 PM and 9 PM Monday-Thursday and on Sunday. Wait, what exactly is the “Petegansian Method?” This is my term for seeking out poorly-listed, low-price items in auction form on eBay that end between 9 AM and 1 PM (central time zone) Monday-Saturday. This pegs it at the “Hope it works!” level using the Petegansian Method. Not to brag too hard but I was able to score mine for $14 shipped on eBay. Also, the N90s (and slightly less-equipped N90) had a more advanced autofocus system than the pro-level Nikon F4 it was created to keep up with Canon’s autofocus cameras at the time that the F4 wasn’t quite matching. It’s important to note for the sake of thriftyness that the N8008 was it’s predecessor which is also a great camera that goes for even cheaper. However, the F100 still fetches a decent buck online and in local camera stores whereas you can pick up an N90s for very little on eBay. This title was taken by the F100 which came out in 1999. This is due to the fact that in it’s day (1994-99) it was the most advanced amateur SLR Nikon ever made. The N90s is widely regarded as one of the best bargain Nikon film SLRs money can buy.
